The Southern Maryland Women’s League is an organization of women dedicated to promoting, strengthening, and supporting women and issues of importance through fellowship, education, service, and mentoring programs. The SMWL Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, the funds raised by our annual event sponsors grants, scholarships, and programs in support of women and children within our community.

OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISERS

Our members plan and host a significant fundraising event each year to support our 2-year Service Project and provide scholarships and grants for deserving 501(c)3 organizations.

Over the past 18 years, our members have come together to raise and donate over $480,000+ to support programs, scholarships, organizations, education, resources, and special events supporting women and children within our community.

November 7, 2014 -- At the Community Foundation of Southern Maryland's ninth annual Philanthropy Day Luncheon, the Southern Maryland Women was honored to have been inducted into the Community Foundation of Southern Maryland's Philanthropy Hall of Fame!

Several general members and the Board of Directors were present to accept this prestigious award. Providing over $150,000 to support area non-profits, the entire membership shares in the success of our league and its support of many positive programs to benefit women & children within our community.
