Our 2016 SMWL

Special Event

The Southern Maryland Women’s League (SMWL) is pleased to announce a Call for Nominations for our 2nd Annual Women of Impact Awards.

Do you know an outstanding female who is making a difference in the Southern Maryland Community?

The SMWL Women of Impact Awards Ceremony & Dinner pays tribute to outstanding girls and women who are making an impact in the world today.  Each year, we call for nominations in order to identify and recognize girls and women who accomplish extraordinary things.

By highlighting the nominees and their amazing contributions, we have an opportunity to show our appreciation for their efforts, and to encourage others to do the same.

Our 2015 Women of Impact event was a huge success. We received 58 nominations for 45 girls, young ladies and women who are truly making a difference within our communities. All nominees were invited to the  Awards Ceremony Dinner and Celebration, and were honored for their individual contributions. One nominee from each category was selected as the final award recipient (Click here to see last year's nominees and award recipients!)

We invite you to share in our excitement by nominating an outstanding girl or woman within the community who you believe is truly making an impact.  Nomination recipients may range in age from as young as 7 years old to vibrant seniors!
